Web Site Creation process starts with the initial phone call,
(703) 834-6439. You may know the exact look and feel you want
on your new web site or you may have only a budding idea about
what your website should accomplish. We listen to what you are
trying to achieve and then help you to reach your goals.
Free Consultation
During
our first meeting (up to two hours, which may be a conference
call), our designer(s) will listen to your requirements and then
discuss ideas for your new web site. Working together, the outline
of the site is specified, so that we have a clear understanding
of the purpose for the site and how it should look and feel. We
look at and discuss various details like color schemes, desired
content, and above all the goal you are trying to reach. When
the consultation is over, we should have a clear understanding
of what you want.
Free Proposal
Back
at TekRight, we write a complete technical proposal describing
your site. Based on the information gained in the consultation
meeting, graphic designs are proposed and a general description
of each area is completed. Each page on the new site is named
according to its future content and an outline of the site is
created. Programming algorithms are specified for any web enabled
applications.
From the proposal, we estimate the cost to create the initial
site and then create a cost proposal. The technical proposal,
cost proposal, and contract are then sent to you for your review
and approval. When needed, revisions are made until you are satisfied
that TekRight will create a web site that fits your requirements.
After TekRight receives the signed agreement, any text and/or
graphics to be supplied by you, and a deposit, the site will be
scheduled for development.
Site Development
TekRight
sets up a 'staging' site where you can view the development as
it occurs. After each part of the project is completed, you are
asked to review and test the site. If changes are needed, we incorporate
them as early in the project cycle as possible to keep costs to
a minimum. New estimated costs are prepared if the changes needed
are different from the originally proposed site design.
As
your site is being built, key words are entered and pages created
specifically to obtain excellent search engine results. When an
Internet user searches for a product or service offered by your
site, the search engine will display a result that places your
site is at the top of the list.
Site Implementation
When
the site is completed and tested, it is copied to a 'live' environment
where it can be viewed by all Internet users.
Site Promotion
The
site and key sections of the site are now promoted to the Internet's
primary search engines, like Yahoo, Infoseek, and AOL Search.
TekRight submits pertinent sections to the search engines on a
periodic basis, monitors the position on the search engine's list,
and adjusts content to keep the site high in the search engine
ranking
Site Maintenance
Material
on your site must be kept fresh in order to keep users returning.
Monthly updates are suggested where news bulletins, specials,
or site specific information is changed. Mailing lists (e-mail)
are recommended to offer users a reason to return to the site
repeatedly. All changes are made in the staging area where you
can review and approve the change before it is copied to the 'live'
site.
